It is just a pity that you have to paint Edwin Jones the Steam as he was painted on display on Rob's stall.

Actually this kit, and the Wickham as well, use a motor mounted with a plastic gearbox, and the chassis is 2 sides of a plastic strip which needs cutting to size and drilled for 2 axles, and is held together with cardboard spacers. Steel wheels are provided with Ivor (plastic with the Wickham) and the kit includes decorative wheel trims for Ivor. So it is not an IP Eng chassis used. Looks like William has painted the wheels black, Locolines has painted theirs green on the website & instructions illustration.that they rely on IP chassis

They will be available in a forum 'article' to be written in the future. Although to save you agro with your 32mm gauge chassis I shall post the following.CCairns wrote:I'd be interested in your views of building this kit.
They are suppose to have a 'Cartoony' feel, a bit iof filling won't do them any harm. I got two lamps, I fitted two lamps!CCairns wrote:I'm not impressed with the quality of the resin castings, and I only got one buffer beam lamp.
A loooong job, do it outside with a dremel and wear a dust mask, it really stinks and is VERY dusty.CCairns wrote:How easy is it to sand the chimney & steam chest to fit the boiler?
And that's after I added some white, the paint is recomended in the instructions, I'm building this one and a friend is also in the middle of one, and he bought some paint so I just had a sample.CCairns wrote:What paint did you use as it looks a bit off colour?
Yes, I forgot!! Now fitted, I have put a toggle switch in one of them to replace the rubbish switch supplied.Any reason for not fitting the cab steps?
