Cheap gas at Aldi again

Post by Enginehouse » Fri Apr 10, 2015 9:07 am

Aldi have their mixed gas (But/Prop) standard screw top can, back in stock at £2.99 a throw. This flew out the door last year so best grab it while you can. They also have the flame gun back in stock which is the intended use of the gas, which fortunately is sold separately. No limit on purchase so we have stocked up for the season.

Got mine. They are also doing bags of slate chippings at our local. GBP 2.99 per bag

Missed them all in Carmarthen. Apparently they all went the first morning.

I have joined the queue of local plumbers waiting for the store doors to open before now...!

Bought three cans this afternoon - thanks for the tip-off. Picked up a bottle of red while I was at it, must go and pour another glass - cheers!

Andrew.

Picked up some of this mixed gas last year from Aldi but did not do much running in the low temperatures last Winter.

Just waiting for B & M to start stocking their cheap camping gas butane cartridges for this Summer.

Hi

As of recently (when my conventional screw top supplies ran out), I have been using cheap cartridges (the ones with the red caps) in conjunction with an adaptor. With the adaptor (self sealing) screwed to the can filling is achieved in the normal manor. You can buy these cans for less than £1 for 220g.

B & M Butane

Post by Chris Cairns » Tue Apr 14, 2015 7:44 pm

Picked up 2 cans of mixed gas from Aldi, and next door B & M are now stocking their camping stove butane canisters, again 4 for £3:99.
