I re located in the kitchen and decided to start a job that I have wanted to do for a very long while, rebuilding Bovvy. This loco was entered in the IP scrapbin challenge as featured in SMT. Alas I was very young then and so, now around 3 or 4 years on, I am not satisfied with what it looks like!
This is Bovvy as it stood.

After a dust down, I planned that I was going to:
1. Repaint
2. New Bonnet and/or cab
3. Chequerplate footplate.
4. Weathering
Last night, I made a start and removed the bonnet with great ease. I then tried at the wooden footplate but the whitemetal came unstuck on the chassis. There would be no way to get it out with out a full rebuild so I have decided to remove the seat and hand brake, put the chequerplate over the top and go from there.
The last job I did last night (not in photo) was re secure the battery boxes under the frames.
