Afternoon all,

Anyone built one of these kits and if so, how easy are they to put together? I'm considering one to pull a FR train on my line.

Hi Jon,
Yes I have built one of these kits and converted it to battery and radio control. It was a nice kit to built the frames, cab and tender are brass with the smokebox and tank as a resin casting. As long as you follow the instructions you cant go far wrong.

Cheers for that. How easy were the etched parts to assemble as I have next to no experience when it comes to working on etched metal.

The etched parts are fairly easy. Alot of it is folded up and then soldiered. You could practise soldering up using off cuts from the etch.
