Summerland Chuffer for Roundhouse Taliesin

Post by AvontuurNG15 » Fri Apr 05, 2013 5:31 pm

Has anyone fitted a Summerland chuffer to a recent delivered Roundhouse Taliesin? I would like to see photos of the process.

Hi,
On Taliesin i believe you have to remove the exhaust pipe and send it to summerlands to have the chuffer silver soldered to the top because of the different exhaust arrangement. Unless it changed for this final batch.
Best wishes

Sorry, I have only just spotted this! We normally ask you to send the Z type exhaust to Nigel (Chuffermaker) and he silver solders a special chuffer to it. If you can silver solder, then we can just send you the chuffer. Either way it is the same price.
In fact I looked at an exhaust with Nigel yesterday that was an entirely different shape from all the previous ones - though it does the same job. The important thing is to get the whole Chuffer in the short chimney.
Please contact me direct: coxhillcottage (at) yahoo.com and I will advise if you want to do it yourself.
Cheers
Chris
