Edrig, my new toy

Post by John Chapman » Wed Sep 10, 2008 9:18 pm

I have long been an enthusiast of garden railways and I have been waiting for my first proper live steam loco for ages (years) but they don't come cheap and there have been many calls the wallet of late. However, I have saved my pennies and recently taken delivery of an Accucraft Edrig from Track Shack, I can't praise them enough for their excellent service. I think it will be an ideal introduction to garden railway steam. As yet it has not had a run, I don't have my own line at the moment and the weather has been foul so I haven't been to the club track lately.

In all probability it will not remain a standard Edrig, but exactly how it will evolve remains to be seen.

Hi John! Great locomotive, I have one too. May I suggest you PM the Admin and get him to add you to the forum's Edrig group!!

Can I ask what club layout you go to as you mentioned? Is it Perranporth, as I intend to go up on the 12th Oct. with some of the 16mm lads for a run....

Top Notch loco :) .

Anyone who wants to join the 'Edrig Club' basically if you've got a Edrig, Caradoc or Mortimer, then pop andysleigh a PM and he'll add you to the group, it's viewable here www.gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/groupcp.php .
Doesn't make a difference to your 'status', if there is demand for further groups e.g. Mamod, then start a new topic in forum improvments!
