After disbanding railways a few years ago Playmobil are back in the market with a centre cab freight locomotive. Radio Controlled with chime horn, directional lights and motor sound. It comes as a complete set with an oval of track and remote control handset. Retails at sub £150.00 which makes it a very useful locomotive.

Are Playmobils 32mm or 45mm gauge? I am not familiar with them. Small diesels that look more in the 180 hp range than the 18hp range are a bit of a rarity in SM32/SM45. I assume from the position and style of the end stripes that they are a German manufacturer.

Back in the day they used LGB track and mechnical bits. Now all plastic.
For 32mm, I wonder if anyone kept the Faller Hit tooling?
