IP Engineering Shelley Tram

There has been quite a bit of interest for these on the G scale Central Forum and as a result someone has been in contact to see whether Ivan would be able to do a limited run of these kits. He is more than happy to do so IF he gets 10 people to put their name down to buy one. It will be available to buy as a complete kit (Body, Castings, and an IP deluxe Chassis) at £154 + VAT. The body and castings will be available to buy without the Chassis at around £90 + VAT. He needs 10 people to buy a body whether that is with, or without a chassis. This will be made with his laser cutters rather than the rotary cutter originally used when this kit was out at first. Anyone who wants one should register their interest with him!

As the originator of the shelley tram request to Ivan, I have been I investigating the offerings from the current kit supplier and the possible kit to be reproduced by Ivan and comparing them with the scaled 16mm version of the J70 (G.E.R) which is the loco I am intending to build. The scale measurements of the kit provided by PW are of course quite heavily compromised to provide a more pleasing effect when run on narrow gauge lines. Ivan has not yet responded to my request for the measurements of his (possibly to be rerun) kit and so this may be more favourable a choice.

However I have now decided to scratch build the beast - Mainly to build a more scale accurate and cost effective representation of the J70. While I have lot of pictures and sketches of the original loco I cannot seem to find any shots of the inside of the cab(s). If anyone has any suggestions or can provide a link or two I would be extremely grateful.

Cheers.

In regards to this request I'm quite interested, is it just am e-mail to say you're interested?

However, there is this picture to go form and I can't find anyother so would anybody be able to provide some more information or pictures of their own models so I have an more rounded opinion?

in all honesty, I have been planning my own J70-esque tram for a while now.

All you have to do to register an interest in the tram production run is to use the 'contact' box on the IP Engineering website, provide contact details and ask Ivan to put you on the list for the tram (either body only or part kit). It seems that the number of body kits requested will be the deciding factor in proceeding with the production run.

Thanks for the pics. I have a lot of exterior shots and the gross measurements, however I would like to get hold of a picture of the inside of the cab showing the controls and layout.

Cheers.
