I know I shouldn't but the voices in my head said......you gotta have him.

I'm pleased because I now have one of each of IP Engineerings diesels. Of course it will all have to come apart at some point for fettling and spraying in the same colours as the other two.

Does anyone have any spare con rods off of one they dont want?

But first, I'm moving to York. I like York.  :D  I've been told there may be pubs there.

For con rods, mamod ones fit the Jessie. But do you need cranks as well?

Thanks PP for the GEN regarding con rods, thats saved me a few hours swearing with a file/drill and hack saw. :)

The cranks are being bought from IP.

Made a little progress on the loco I named "Pigs Ear" (obviously due to my bodging abilities) I successfully made an IP engineering gearbox work for it..... how long for remains to be seen.... I seem to do OK with them though, so far. I slapped a dress up kit onto it and rebuilt the bottom end. The original paint has been put on without any sort of primer so it just flakes off. Mr Nitromorse will visit soon. I also had to reuse some of those rediculous self tappers as I ran out of small bolts.... again something to replace in the future. I plan to set it up like the others with Timpton radio control, but for now it has a battery, voltage reg, I/O and F/R switch. The "couplings" are also temporary :)

It seems to be in good order, but will eventually be rebuilt alongside the other one.
