Everything is a little uncertain at the moment but due to personal reasons Alan is going to have to shut the business. His last show will be Exeter. He is not sure who will or if anyone will take on his range of upgrade parts. -Silver lining mode- He has got a nice new job with the bbc.

Dream Steam Position
Hello everyone.
Due to a change in my domestic circumstances and subsequent divorce, the family home is being sold. Consequently this means loosing the workshop in which many the Dream Steam parts are made. Whilst I now have a showroom from which I operate Dream Steam, it is near impossible to find economically viable premises these days that have the right planning permissions to allow light industrial workshop activities alongside public retail. In this economic climate I am not convinced of the sense in investing lots of money in setting up new separate workshop facility at this time either.
Also, as I am now no longer limited to living and working in the far South West of England, where job opportunities are non existent in what I used to do for a living, I have decided to re-enter the real world of work and restart my professional career. New start, new opportunity, new life and all that.
Every cloud has a silver lining though and the positive outcome for me is a new management role with the BBC working on a project to establish a new tv drama production studio in Cardiff Bay where Doctor Who is going to be made. So I am swapping steam trains for Daleks!
It is therefore with great regret that as of the end of October 2010 I will no longer be running Dream Steam in its current form. For this reason I have set most Dream Steam upgrades on the webshop to zero so I don’t get lots of orders in I can’t fulfil as I am winding stock down now. There are various parts still left so if anyone wants anything just send me an email before the Exeter Show on Oct 23rd as this will be my last show and I will be hoping to sell what stock remains there.
All current orders will be dispatched in the next few days and any orders received and confirmed before the 26th will still be completed. Anyone with loyalty points should use them before the 26th as they will unfortunately be lost after this time.
Any remaining stock will be moth-balled unless I can find a suitable buyer for the business as a going concern. Other items including my collection of Mamod and MSS locos will be sold off, either on ebay or to private collectors.
I would like to thank all my customers that have supported Dream Steam with their custom over the past few years. I have very much enjoyed my experience with live steam garden railways and hope to continue my interest in the hobby in the future.
Kindest regards
Alan Dunster
