Well I've been busy doing the first modelling for years and my first ever 16mm model building My wife bought this for me at the Llanfair show in 2009 and only now have I made a start!



I've used car filler on the corner joints, but I found the roof panels to be too small as I wanted a good overhang



so I glued on the roof with a gap at the top and used carboard as a mould for more car filler

Icut the ridge tile section into 20mm pieces as I did not want them to look too straight


It's taken many hours to build this (I'm very fussy ) but I've loved doing it!

looks great! My S/B engine shed roof is a bit of a patchwork quilt and I'm using car body filler too, I just hope it turns out as well as yours has!

I love the colour and detail of the stonework and the landscape behind it looks really realistic...

Thanks The painting was easy really, I just sprayed it with grey car primer, then I was very lucky in finding some acrylic paints for £1 each in a craft shop in Llandudno I just mixed up different shades of grey and painted it in front of the telly. The canopy had brass and whitemetal parts so I used an etch primer on it (some car stuff I bought years ago and it stinks ) which I brushed on. I've never used these acrylic paints before but they are a delight to use

I need to protect it with a matt acrylic varnish, where can I get that from?

I still have to make a permenent notice board, this one is just thick paper held on with bluetac. The posters are genuine FR by the way!

I was asked last year if I would put some of the FR posters up and with the posters I get a sheet showing where they go, by sheer good fortune they are about the right size for 16mm

Curses! I would like some for the ANLR (I used to put reduced Ravenglass and Eskdale ones in one building but they were still too big)
