I have just bought of eBay a used Regner Shay and have noticed that Regner have failed to include two important engineering features of the original: chassis truss rods and cross bracing to the bogies. This has the result that there is a slight bowing to the timber chassis which I think will increase with time and that the bogies can twist out of true. Has anyone else noticed this and better still fixed these issues?

Send an email to Regnar themselves, they'll most likely provide you with spares.

As far as I can see they never included them in the design.

Looks like it's time to break out the tools and make the improvements you want to your engine.
