Shapeways

Post by paullad1984 » Fri Jan 10, 2014 10:01 am

Came across a website last night called "Shapeways" on which are listed some rather nice, 3d printed VR narrow gauge kits, has anyone had any experience of said website or indeed these kits?

I built a Hudson Open from PVMR back in September - go to http://www.mdlr.co.uk/hwag.html for the words and pictures - they use Shapeway as their printer.

Here's the wagon - less paint and around 30 minutes after I unwrapped it!

They look very nice, but 636 Euros for one coach , and that doesn't include bogies, wheels or couplings ??

Yes that is a bit of a dear, pity really as unless Accucraft do the rest of the VR narrow gauge stock there wont be much prototypically to haul behind the forthcoming Na class,.

The Hudson wagon was thirty-eight quid, but it is a SUPERB model!
