Battery Powered Bagnall Wing Tank

Post by 90733 » Wed Oct 31, 2012 12:41 pm

I've deicded I better start sharing photos again as I haven't really for a while as I keep changing my mind about the direction I am going in, one project I started (but have since sold) is the battery powered bagnall.

First was the chassis, I was using a IP budget one. I was intending to fit a very simple valve gear :)

A test run in the living room, the loco was going to be rc, with the rc in a vehicle behind, latter I built a small tender to carry the rc but don't have a picture of it.

This is the newest photo I've got (i think) and shows the loco with cab. It gained cab 'back' and smokebox door before it was sold.

You may have also noticed I've sold alot of 16mm stuff recently, but I'm not leaving the hobby, just wanting to change to stuff more prototypical of the P&DLR ;)
Thanks
Jack

It would have been a nicely proportioned model. Bagnall wing tanks have always been a favourite of mine.

It was looking good - sorry to note that you won't be finishing it.

How were you planning to build the valve gear/motion?
