SV problems

The SV on edrig has been playing up a lot recently, over the past week it decided that it wanted to go off between 80-90psi, and today when raising steam, it went off at 10psi! and i turned the gas really high and i just got it to 55

I'm going to fire her up tomorrow as well and see what it does again

Is there a way to stop it doing this or is it just a faulty SV that needs replacing?

sounds like its furred up and sticking. it will probly need taking apart and cleaning. i do this every so often. other than that stick it in so de-scaler?

90 psi thats some pressure. Sounds faulty to me and Sir haydns right its sticking and wants a stripdown.

yes, try takeing it apart and cleaning it in some viniger.

and see if the o rings gone, mine went and it wouldnt seel, if it has, jsut email mr accucraft for a spair,

So how do you take the thing apart? But unscrewing it by putting something in the two little slots right in it roughly where the steam comes out?

That sounds about right!

Just take it off and put it in a weak vinegar solution. Leave over night and then wash it. Vinegar in the boiler is BAD.
