Love it Philip, very tidy and great rivet detail. Thanks for the tip about 2mm square key steel.... most useful.

Agree, that tip for the square steel is great. :thumbright:

I think personally you have done an excellent job on the building of your Quarry Hunslet, Phillip. It's looks even better than some of the professional company's that make these and other locos. I would personally buy one from you, if you ever got around to printing one in kit form. It would look good on anyones line and for me it would take pride of place. :salute:

Thanks chaps.
Rod, sorry but as I've said before, I'm not into producing kits.

Beats my idea of tinning brass slidebars with solder!

Hmmm, I never thought of that one, makes sense but I do think this is a better solution. :D

Following my query and the discussion about oil cans, earlier in the thread, this is what I've ended up with. :D
( please excuse/ignore the little specs of white dust, I forgot to move the loco off the bench when I did some filing! )

Well, I think it's finished ( I always seem to find something that I missed later). Running video to follow later.

Really lovely!

You need a few slate wagons for it to bustle around with now...

Or maybe some tourist-friendly toastracks or something - I really like how the Quarry Hunslets have found a whole new niche in the modern world...
