Walnut Lane railway
Hi,
I have at this time a very small layout in my garden, but with few ideas for future extensions.
There is no plants or buildings, I am waiting spring to work more on the railway.
I am working on my radio control system and battery power modification.
I don't have photos but a quick video of my layout :

To me as well, that's certainly more than I have! The shrub adds a nice touch.

Looks good and plenty of room for expansion.

Re: Sam small layout
Certainly enough to provide a little variety.
You do realise, that once you have enough track to play, the building tends to slow down a great deal?

Enjoy your trains!

One of my project is to have a small engine shed with a turn table on the left handside of the "station" you can see a point and 2 lonely rail waiting for that project to become real.

Re: Sam small layout
I really like this size! The runaround tracks really add a lot of operational possibilities, might have to try to work one into my similar-sized oval.

Re: Sam small layout
Looks like you've got plenty of operating potential there.
Looking forward to seeing how it and the RC develops.

Re: Sam small layout
Hello all,
I have finished the integration of my radio control in the LGB locomotive with also 4 18650 batteries.
I have also finished the 3d print of my transmitter case. Unfortunately there are some defect in the print so it is not as beautiful as expected. But for a transmitter it is enough.
I will try to explain my design in English in another tread but here is a quick video of the first real running session with my own RC system
I am pretty proud

Re: Sam small layout
So you should be. That is a brilliant little layout and runs well.
Looking forward to seeing it progress.

Re: Sam small layout
I can only second that, it looks very neat. Is it a home design board etc?

Looking forward to reading about your transmitter. In the meantime I'll practise my French by looking at your blog.

Re: Sam small layout
Yes it is a home design. For the transmitter I use an Arduino méga 2560, a 20x4 LCD, a rotary encoder, a potentiometer, a momentary switch and some resistors.
The case is also a personal design done on Tinkercad and printed in PLA on a sidewinder X1 printer.
To detail the design shall I open a new specific tread in another forum or shall I post it here ?

Re: Sam small layout
Yes please! Having tried using Arduino with NRF24 with mixed success, I'll be interested to see what you've done and how you did it.
