Vale of Rheidol Brake Van

Hi all,
Just bought myself a VoR 1930's van (I've always fancied it!)
Just wondering what colour it would be in the 1930's when the GWR owned the line (using Google tends to bring up the Welsh Highland example of all over brown)?
I will hopefully build this up quickly as I am also currently building Ffestiniog Van 6 from Brandbright (the quarrymans conversion) for a friend of ours! :)

There's a photo in one of Boyd's books and another in Johnson's book, both showing the original body type in a two tone scheme with what looks like the GWR coat of arms on the side. Presumably it is painted GWR chocolate and cream. Boyd's caption dates the photo to '35 and the van looks a bit bedraggled.

Regards,
Graeme

'new' vans - never in chocolate and cream.
'old' vans - yes.

Yes, and then followed the carriages as they were repainted.
