Hi All,

Just wondered if any one could help me with a few questions i have. How difficult is it to fit a oiler to a SL1 and is there any point due to the length of run you get from them and the problem with the steam and oil locking in the pipe

will

hi Will the dead leg type i found dificult to fit as it was easy to crimp the tube to bend it into place and it pressed upagainst the trunion screw on the pistons. so dont use that type. I use the roundhouse ones on mine mate but they would be dificult to fit to a standard mamod/mss loco.
i havent had any problems with blockages and the pistons run beter with constant oiling.
hope this helps mate not good at description

Roundhouse ones are definately better, but only advisable if you have a regulator on it.
