FYI, if you're looking for more educational projects, some of our students have had success using makerbot 3D printers to create worm gears and more complex components. This gives them experience doing more complex extrusions as well as insight into the parameters involved when designing gears.

Yes we have a 3D printer also, these students have only got basic 2D Cadd skills at the moment as they are only 12, they should be making a start this week on the chassis.big-ted:83675 wrote:Nice!
