A beautiful model of the BR Southern Region 1960s, based on the SDJR and Bath Station...











A work of art, I was truly impressed by the rendition of the station, interior and exterior


Now then...Mamod were in attendance with a sales stall, they had Mk1s [going for £150 , Mk2s a few Jubilee saddle tanks and this:

Did you get to see the OO Live Steam Club stand? I would have like to have visited but costs from/to Glasgow were just too expensive to justify a short day visit.

We have ModelRail Scotland every year during February in Glasgow but sadly no live steam and certainly no Mamod Ltd selling locos off cheap!!

I did see the OO Live Steam actually yes - they had a Hornby Mallard running on it. If folks had wnated anything from Mamod, I'd have happily bought for them and dealt with payment and postage in exchange.

Full Thomas Telford upclose report in the Mamod loco section I haven't bought one, they're still being tested.

You did well to get some photos of Cliffhanger....it was always a four deep scrum whenever I went round there...but well worth 'fighting' your way to the front for.

I was thinking that Cliffhanger was probably the most impressive display there until I got to the L&B live steam.....throw in all the magnificent scenery you want but you just can't beat the steam of a real steamer!
