My last project, and hopefully the first one I've completed for a while! This has become my half term project, a loco inspired by battery locos made by clayton & greenbat.

This is how far I got sunday afternoon. It was then wired up by my dad (I hate wiring up ) It even has a switch to turn the light on and off!!!
The chassis is an experimental one in laser cut acrylic by my dad. It doesn't have any bearings, but we want to see how the acrylic copes (with the appropriate oiling) Its a bit noisy at the moment, actually very loud!, with no oil.

Monday evening saw me build the 'battery boxes' which lift of to access the batteries.

Your MiniTrains set has also been noted, another 009/H0e modeller I assume? I have a fleet of the stuff.

And yes, one axle drive. I did sell it on ebay before peterborough to get myself to 'pocket money' for the show. It reappeared recently too and sold for more than what it did for me.... I regret selling it in a way, was very happy with it!

My friend George was the one who purchsed it off you. He bought it up to run on my line a few times and it was a very good runner. Certainly a credit to you. I was suprised when he sold it on. It was partly to fund the Cheddar models Iver he bought which seems to have spent more time here being worked on to get it running correctly (bent frames being one problem) He would have been better off with your battery loco.
