Has to be Linda for me! Despite the slight out of proportion that the RH loco has (which really does bug me about them, but I'd still get it

)

Is this
before the Lottery win or after??
If before, then none I'm afraid - "times is 'ard" here on the W&L, if it's after the numbers come up, then anything but the William

I'd rather an elsa if I had the choice.

Unfortunately not a true RH loco, the tender was made separately then joined the loco at RH for painting. The tender moulds were lost/destroyed many years ago and RH no longer produce the JACK loco which ELSA is based on. There are a couple hundred Elsa out there somewhere.

If I had the money I would go for a Carrie

I voted Carrie, not because I want them to make another run but just based on feedback I get when I run mine at places. Even the CVLR's workhorse has been the subject of money being waved about my way. But I would never sell her, it's just a great little loco.

The Carrie.

I'd have a Carrie if my wallet was deep enough... I've seen two and judging from Shane's Carrie and what it can do it wins hands down!

Would choose the Carrie of those 3, but would have to have the money available before considering purchaseing and even then would probably buy something else based on what is available on the market at the time

I love the Hackworth valve gear on the Carrie. It's a little different from most of the other RH engines and I should like to have one someday. PendoPilot's Carrie has always been my favourite engine in his videos.

Nice though they are, I wouldn't take a Carrie since I already have a Pooter. William never really did it for me. Linda shares a name with my MiL so that would be the "sensible" choice. If, however, I was to browse their back-catalogue and parts bin without restriction my vote would be for a re-visit of the Phil Flint-derived Lynton & Barnstaple engines- keep the dummy joy valve gear but swap the original's slip-eccentric for the inside gear used on Taliesin and the Penrhyn engines. I did actually suggest that to Sir Roger de Loxley at Llanfair, and got an eye-twinkle and best Mona Lisa enigmatic smile for my pains.

Tim, I thought Roger and Ian had said they werent going to tred on each others toes with new locos? I would like a pooter, one of the ones with the square windows though.

He never said they were going to do it, just smiled...
