Hi,
Ever since my dad came home from Wales, he has wanted an NGG16, although not an Accucraft one because he has directed A LOT of hate towards mine!
Does anyone have, or know how to get, 16mm drawings?

I saw this drawing before, but the quality I found was rubbish! Cheers for a much better version! Yes it is a large one :)

Have you come across the 'SAR Steam' website? Type it into google and its usually the first link up.

A South African based company who offer full works drawings in Digital format for the NG/G16 amongst other SAR locos.

Haven't tried them myself yet but several friends have acquired drawings from them and they seem pleased.

Sorry if you have already seen it.

Yes I've seen them, I think it's like £20 per engine (the disk), might have a look at that!

Be right back! If anyone wants me, I'll be in Manchester ;)
Dad was thinking of using the Roundhouse SRRL #24 chassis, but I think the wheels will be too small... What's everyone else's opinion?

I can go and have a look at them if you want, being in Manchester after all.

The General Arrangement drawings definately exist (low quality scans are available via the MOSI website) and the majority of the Beyer, Peacock archive survives. :D

With regard to the wheel size, the wheel diameter on the real thing is 33in which works out to around 44mm in 1:19.

A quick look on the Roundhouse website parts list would suggest the #24 wheels are 42mm so they aren't miles out.

I believe that John Cambell used #24 chassis on the NG/G16s that he built.
