Mr F C was looking at ebay the other day and saw a snowplough which caught his eye. Now, I know what your thinking 'snowplough in May?' but it's best to be prepared! So having looked at their website there was a couple of other things that looked interesting. Before we purchase I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts about them such as quality etc?

I do think Rob makes some quality stuff. I have not yet bought anything from him yet, but I've seen his coaches in the flesh and they do look very good, and the mouldings all look sharp with no flash etc.

I recently bought Rob Bushill's Swift Sixteen "Owain" body kit prototype on Ebay and after a couple of phone conversations he ended up visiting me at the Summerlands Light Railway. I hadn't really planned to buy anything but asked him to bring some stuff along as I hadn't had time to see it at Stoneleigh.

Well to cut a long story short, I was very impressed indeed with the quality and ended up buying two coach kits, the snowplough, safety valve bonnet and coal basket! I haven't made the coaches yet but can see the resin and castings are very high quality. I had always thought resin was very brittle, but Rob doesn't use extra filler so it seems very robust.

I sprayed the loco today and have attached a photo. There is also a video featuring three of his coaches in the video section.

I really like that loco style Chris, did look at that before but until I can get my Edrig actually running well I can't warrent spending that kind of money on details. But must say I love the looks of it. Certainly got a VOR style about it & would match my Carrie well.

That's interesting Shane - now I look at it, it does have a certain Carrie quality about it. I have always rather fancied a Carrie......... Here is another photo

Do really like those body kits, shame i dont have the cash to spare, or a loco to put one on

I've got to say, those coal greedy's make a MASSIVE change to the look - very smart indeed! I could be tempted myself having seen those photo's (and still mourning the loss of my Baldrig)

Mmmm, can see some spending coming up! Really like the body kit too shame we haven't got an Edrig! That's a lovely job you've done there Chris, looks very smart indeed I quite agree NM.
