Lately there's been a bit of chat on various threads about quick / late delivery of items and I thought it might be interesting to give the subject it's own space (rather than "Bungling" the other threads)
Not intended as a place for knocking poor performers (after all, there can be many reasons why your delivery was late), maybe more for highlighting the best - a bit like the star rating on Evilbay

.
No need to go digging up the past for previous postage practices (!) - just tell us as they happen;
For example, today answering the postmans knock revealed a box full of seated figures from Keith at Modeltown. Perfectly well packed and less than 48hrs after ordering online via the website!

We had TWO cards through the door today for the same parcel................. The first one said "Leaving the parcel at the back door", the second said "You haven't GOT a back door"! D-oh - we've got two, next to each other, on the wall which faces in the opposite direction to the wall the front door's on!
I'm off up to Sheepbridge (t'other side of Chesterfield - only 17.4 miles) to collect it in the morning!

What was it? (and how long have you been waiting for
it?)

Amazing! A topic intended to avoid Bungling other topics gets Bungled in round 1

I ordered a copy of "Garden Railway Realism" from Geoff Gamble books on thursday night, which arrived this morning!
Another supplier who beats the 48 hours mark!
(Surprisingly, the Tenmille coach TR No.16 the Stanton, which I bought off eBay also arrived today - didn't expect
that until in the week! Something to build while I wait for my Baguley)

A new uprated boiler, gas flow cylinders, top up bottle and some oil were ordered from dream steam the other week and are expected to arrive around nowish
BUT
The reason for the delay was that they found a hair line fracture in the sight glass so they said they sent it back to be replaced instead of sending it out faulty

So i'm happy with that

It's always nice when a supplier keeps you informed about what's happening with your order, especially when they've taken your cash

I was delighted to get home from last nights gig to find an Email notification from Andy Bell saying my Baguley had been despatched, Next Day delivery
AND IT'S HERE!
Shame I'm working away all weekend and won'y get a test drive
Back on a positive note, the Accucraft ex-L&B brake van from Ian, "North Hampshire Minerals", also arrived yesterday via Home Delivery Network

Tracked all the way
