Hi,
This morning it was -4.2C in still air in our garden in old South Wales.

And there was a lot of frost.

Over winter I usually service my locomotives for use in the summer and I had a Cracker to check out.

Well it managed 1 lap. Having melted the frost on its first pass the water produced froze by the time it finished its first run around so it just stayed there with its wheels spinning.
Regards Tony

I like it a lot :!:
Might be cold but with a track like that no reason for not getting outside  .
I was wondering what to do with my 'proposed' garden line - now I know, keep it simple.
Thank's for the inspiration, and it's only 3deg here (south Oxfordshire) but I am a bit of a 'wimp' this time of year :(

Regards,
Rob

Pretty cold, and thats getting towards the temperatures of when i last ran in the snow (-7 max daytime temperature if i remember correctly! :? ) i couldn't leave the edrig without a fire lit for more than 1 minute literally otherwise the gas would start to freeze up etc and cause all sorts of problems

It wasn't quite as cold up here but I ran my Countess as it's manual control so no frozen fingers on RC gear moments. Took a while for the gas to settle down but ran fine after that with 14 on.
