A little locos summer holiday.

Post by made-in-england » Sat Sep 18, 2010 9:03 pm

My mamod I aquired from Pendo Pilot back in april was sadly a bit of a failure on the line as its cylinders peed steam everywhere so it was sent to the DLR works for the summer where it recieved a set of upgraded cylinders, lubricator and matching sandbox, cab back plate, and center buffers.. (allthough not pictured)

A big thanks to dan who done this for me as ive been upto my neck in doing stuff since what seems like forever, infact ive had him back for 2 months now and he still hasnt run on my rails

again a big thank you to dan!!

That would look nice with an England-style cab front board - a number of early mamod modifications were done in that style!

Your right, I am tempted to get one from alan briggs at somepoint as with the front half of the cab removed the tanks do loose alot of rigidity.

So it was the cylinders that were leaking then!! Ahhh I thought it was steam chest as I said at the time. Glad you have it sorted now though. Love the rat loco look though, very austerity indeed!
