Hello, This week I finished the last make-over of my somewhat well 'bashed' Roundhouse 'Millie'....other wise known as 'Jenny'. The last notable bits to get done was fitting a Regner steam whistle....a new better wooden cab floor and glazing the weather-shield windows.

That's brilliant- hardly recogniseable.

Nice to see a more workaday steam loco too- too many shiny locos out there ;)

Hello, Very sorry for tardyness...I dont come on here much! In reply to the lad who wanted to know about the steam whistle (unless you have fitted one anyway??!)....I use the boiler take-off that people use for a sight glass for a extra regulator that give great steam effects for photographs. I had the top blanking off bolt machined and silver soldered onto this.... the Regner steam whistle control body, The whistle sits under one of the side tanks. The feed pipe is insulated with string on the cab part BUT as the whisle itself in in a 'hot-spot' this is bare metal! The engine is now REALLY finished as I put extra coal bunkers on the tank tops to hide the lowness of the boiler
