Allan came round with his new Regner MAX and that new Regner stationary.

the stationaries only a little thing, here it is next to a MM1

and next to MAX

MAX is a really good engine, the detail is fantastic for the price.

love how the cylinders held on.
Image

its also got 3 crossover tubes.
Image

steamin it up on a rolling road

Image

tried it outside, it derailed just as I took the pic
Image

Image

the wind kept blowing the burner out so back inside.
Image

Image

the rolling road has a scaled down (to 16mm) MPH speedo so you can see that its doing 7 MPH
Image

fueling up the stationary
Image

aye its a goodun!
Image

runs grand.
Image

then the Jack!

Image

Image

pressure begins to build.
Image

SV

and she runs!
Image

Image

according to the speedo shes doing over a scale 64 MPH!

Aye all 3 things look good. The Max could probably do with some sort of wind sheild fabricating to stop it blowing out, ie a strip of brass to sit around the outside of the boiler a few mm out of from the burner.
