help for plan layout for a french newby

hi everybody
I'm a french man and i leave near Paris, i start in 16mm gauge and i project to build a layout.
the size will be of 15mX3m but i never do it...
so, i need your help to know how to build
-on surface or in high
have some idea what i could do as track plan layout

I would build about 3 foot off of the floor level. this way you will not get leaves on the line too much. my last line was ground level and it was hard to keep up with the amount of debris on the line

I just scraped a C in GCSE French here in England, so I don't know much else!! Oh yes, Train a vapeur! :lol: :lol: :lol:
You may find it useful to browse some UK websites for books to help you start, many are useful to beginners. Even if you join the 16mm Asscociation, you get a free beginners guide! Personally, what inspired me was looking at other peoples garden railway websites; I compiled a huge list on my own website here:

your french is perfect

i'm a new member of 16mm association (the smt mag' is really beautiful)
i read most of article to learn but i've no idea to draw my layout, i would like a form like a "bone" but after i don't know!!!
if you have draw or plan to give me some idea
