Ah, yeah, I think I would have gotten rid of the american touches quite quickly! :)

They really are eye catching, they really would be noticed ina scene of chaos! :D

I was offered some of these coaches but being new to garden railways I wasn't sure what was the minimum radius curve they would negotiate.

Does anyone know?

I have a dim recollection that it is 2'6"

Assuming that they can run on the track that comes in Bachmann sets, the minimum radius will be 2', same as LGB R1 curves.

They are 19" long though, so they'll look a bit silly on that sharp a curve and will need a lot of side clearance......

I checked yesterday, as I have both that sort of carriage and some old 2' rad Bachmann track, and they will do two foot radius - it definitely isn't pretty though given their length.

Thanks Peter

Luckily the only 2' radius curve I plan to have is hidden so it should be ok.

Er, how hidden? I would not try and run these puppies over a minimum radius curve you cannot get at easily. The inevitable will happen and Sod's Law; Section 8; sub-section 1 states that large vehicles will always derail in the most inaccessible spot possible!

Do if you can ease that 2' radius to 2'6" (or more) I would suggest that you do so. A little inconvenience now means lower blood pressure later!

It will be hidden behind some bushes but easily accessible so it should be ok. If I can ease the curve I will do.
