Does anyone have any experience running this LGB Fan-driven car ?

Slow and quirky or a smooth and strong runner ?

Thanks

Perfectly reasonable and sensible post, no problem at all. Asking for help and advice is what the forum is about.

No experience, I'm afraid but I think it will be fast and not very powerful

A friend had one.

Fun to drive but......requires practice.
Powering down a long straight is great but sooner or later you have a curve approaching at high speed.
Putting it into full reverse does not give too much braking effect, so you have to drive carefully if you do not want it to plough into your scenery.

This looks like the Plateway 'Aerotram'. (https://www.platewaymodels.co.uk/shop/p ... -tram-semi) Sold as a manually controlled vehicle. Slow uphill; like a V1 launching downhill ... crash ... ! Phil of RC Trains is sorting me some RC parts out to - I hope! - keep it under control and on the rails. I have a suspicion that plenty of forward planning will be needed to drive it well.

I suspect it would benefit from some sort of braking system.
Mmmmm there's an idea.
