Attaching etched brass name plates .

I am looking to attach some loco name plates to some of my live steam locomotives . I will probably use a silicone type adhesive. Are there any recommendations?

I would recommend Servisol silicone adhesive sealant..

Mostly around £8-10 for a 75ml tube, but I have found this:

Is the product high tack or is it like instant gasket?
There are alot of similar brands out there on the net ranging from 2.99 to lots of money for a small tube.

It takes a little time to 'set', so I arrange the loco so the surface you are fitting the plates to is horizontal, and flat.

It holds well (you only need a smear) but will peel off, without damaging paintwork.

Thanks for the link Chris. My first attempt at fixing brass plates to a metal bodied model wasn't very successful. I used quality double sided tape to attach name plates to a battery powered loco all was well till last year .it was a damp running day ,needless to say one nameplate fell off never to be seen again. I have blacktac which I use to hold dcc wiring harnesses in place and some figures as well.
I want to find a good medium for semi permanent attachment of the plates and loco crew. Phil's suggestion of using solvisol sounds good but I can't track any down ,none in stock on the big selling platforms and the link to the one available does not work. So if anybody knows of a similar product I would be very much obliged.

I've always found that a tiny dab of ordinary bathroom silicone sealant ( clear) works well and can be carefully removed if you ever need to.

Bathroom sealant will also work, but tends to be in large amounts..
