As the sawmill is situated in one of only two shady areas on the railway, it is much favoured during this hot dry summer. Dry tracks means the traction engine is hauling logs out of the forest (basically free fuel!), and four loads of sawn OB timber are
loaded and ready to be dispatched to Leawarra behind the shay. The shay getting up a full head of steam for the push uphill.

Heading off to join the main line via Gray's Siding. Rolling onto Bridge No.1 And later about to cross Warringine Creek Bridge, the other shady spot. Grant.

I should have thought of using a traction engine in my recent sawmill special video - instead I placed a shire horse among the trees implying it was the main source of haulage.

As always Grant, you've composed a wonderful story to show off your superb modelling. And that traction engine is a work of art in itself. Being in the north of England, slightly to the West, I don't really understand what a "hot dry Summer" is.
