I reckon a traction engine using Roundhouse parts could be done using an internally fired boiler, one standard cylinder, the single eccentric valve gear used on the Hunslets, cast smokebox, flywheel hubs and other parts and etched wheel spokes, rims and strakes, bunker & other tinwork, you might be on to something Keith!
Although with single eccentric valve gear it would really have to be a Marshall! ;)

A Marshall would be just fine too. A nice traction engine pottering about could make a fun addition to a garden railway. I guess you'd have to chase it around though, not being on tracks and all...

Accucraft do that already... Can't see Roundhouse leaving the narrow gauge theme and going into standard gauge...

I agree with Laurance on that one, I would personally like another basic loco but with a simple tender.

If you are going to do something in memory of Alan Peglar then really the only option for Roundhouse has got to be an FfR England
Roundhouse managed to surprise last year to an extent and I think they'll surprise this year...

Another diesel would be good with a `decent` sound chip.

RH do enough steam locos to satisfy most tastes already...

As long as the Leek and Manifold isn't discontinued for a good few years yet so I can possibly afford to buy one eventually then any new loco would be nice!

I reckon it'll be an England... but Gelert would also be nice!

They seem to have now run out of locos (other than a double Fairlie, which they say they won't do) on which they can reuse the cab spectacles from Taliesin. Very convenient to have been able to use the same part on Tom Rolt and Mountaineer...

I like that one Ingin. Would be nice to see RH do a few small 4 coupled prototypes but not carry the price tag of some of thier other non generic models. Should be interesting to see what they come up with for this year. Mike

Yes please, but after the other 0-6-2's they've done i feel this may be more of an accucraft loco.
Personally i think its more likely to be a generic loco, as they seem to stay in the range the longest!

The rumour at Butterley this afternoon is that it's something Welsh Highland based, but we don't know if it's from the New Big Railway or the Original Preservationists - my guess would be the latter.

Beddgelert, snowdon ranger/moel tryfan, Gowrie, Baldwin.
Doubt it would be latter as accucraft have allready made a baldwin, so my money is on the middle two types, both fairlies, and if memory serves Gowrie has been built from scrath before using roundhouse parts!

the model is usually timed to appear at the 16mm association show, say 4 weeks from now!
