My wife thought she had caught me looking at naughty pictures because for a while I would quickly click off the internet if I heard her coming into the room, sometimes not quick enough. She found out by using the "history" function that I had instead been looking at endless videos on Youtube of Roundhouse and Accucraft steam locomotives. (I didn't want her to know how much time I was wasting during the day looking at trains)
When I finally broached the subject of buying a Roundhouse kit (she disapproves of men playing with model trains for some reason), she said, "oh, go ahead, I know you've been looking them up on the internet for the last year". I guess she hates impulse buyers?
I wonder if at this point the same phenomenon would serve as an easy way to import a couple of young women into the house?

Why do you think my mamods got painted GWR green!! As far as my wife knows my Countess is just one of those mamods I have added bits to....Yet she comes home with new shoes almost all the while.... Although I do feel bad that instead of building my daughters sandpit I finished of the line instead...Not proud of that but did need to see what area the line would take up first to be fair.

Totally logical way of planning the project if you ask me, can't see any fault with it nor why it should play on your concienceAlthough I do feel bad that instead of building my daughters sandpit I finished of the line instead...Not proud of that but did need to see what area the line would take up first to be fair.

A while ago I bought a bass guitar from a friend, and not long after that I bought another guitar as well. I really only saw fit to mention the first one, so for a while after that whenever Mrs. Keith saw a guitar she wasn't sure she recognised or not, she would say, is that your new bass guitar? And I would say, yes it is. It all worked until she started counting them.Pendo Pilot:53162 wrote: Why do you think my mamods got painted GWR green!! Wish I could get away with that! Peachbottom knows all my locos by sight and has driven some of them. On the plus side, I get a lot more support, encouragement (and even active participation!) than is typically the case, and since she has an expensive hobby of her own can't and doesn't complain if occasional expensive goodies come in through the front door. Can' complain, and not just saying that 'cos she reads this forum!Pendo Pilot:53162 wrote: Why do you think my mamods got painted GWR green!!
