Converted to double track in 1803, I am 2 inches wider than Amalthaea.
One long length was not converted to double track and remained single. The reason for the track remaining single still survives, although in an incomplete form.

What is the name of the reason?

Something 4' 2" gauge?? Amalthaea ran on the Padarn railway which was 4' gauge....................

Unable to think of anything 4'2" gauge I thought "cryptic!" and found a drawing. Note that he said 2" wider than Amalthea and didn't mention gauge at all. According to Boyd, Amalthea was 7'8" broad in the beam. Unfortunately I can only find one 8' gauge line and the Johnstown Incline was built too late to count. Foiled again!

Sadly, you're getting colder. I though somebody might get Johnstown, but that's a dead end unfortunately. However, as Johnstown is an Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark, I can say that what I'm after is a Grade II * listed thing.
