Right then. What are those of you who are going to the Peterborough Show this weekend looking to get your grubby little mitts on then?

I am going to treat myself to a rake of Binnie Tippers as I fancy a train of rolling stock that I can build and paint in less than a week.
(please note I am not specifying which week.)
Plus a few small detailing parts, couplings etc.

The wish list would include a Binnie steam motor and an Archangel DHR.

The steam motor... Who knows, maybe an outside chance.
Archangel DHR.... More chance of being hand-cuffed to a ghost!
Mind you I couldn't afford it if one did appear unless wife selling is still legal in Cambridgeshire.

A small industrial guards van from AnDel models to go at the back of the quarry trains.
Some carriage door furniture
Maybe some windows frames.

I will have a 3year in tow so its going to be rains and trains from him all day..till he either gets tired(I think he will be asleep in my van on the trip home..)
my list is something for him as I dont get paid until 25th of the month but on plus side lets me have a proper look at items i have seen on websites..

I'm bringing my son (20months old) so hoping that he'll be well behaved.

As for buying stuff,

Will probably come away with: a whistle, some decorative bits and bobs & possibly a Manual speed controller for a project for said son.

Could come away with but will probably shorten marriage: 0-6-0 chassis for a new diesel, or entire diesel outline loco.

In my dreams: Any one of raffle prizes 1-5, something from ELR or Riverdale.

My wish would be to relocate the Exhibition to a more central location in the country.... Say Birmingham for example.

Birmingham would have my vote too.
As to bringing offspring.
I will be there with Son and heir in tow, along with the current Wife and My Mother.
The only reason I am going there at all is that I told the two females in my life that it would make a nice family day out!

However saying that. Having my young Grumper there does mean I can use the excuse that I am not buying it for me but for him to play with.

I find garden railways big enough to make the wife think that they are just toys.....
