Now, now...I love Wales, and am a frequent visitor, indeed I even have relatives living there, but I still struggle to pronounce a lot of the place names...so personally I'm inclined to look sympathetically on Mr. Found!

Besides, there are plenty of other countries with difficult place names - ever been to Slovenia? ;)

I agree on that, I even struggle in Cornwall being a Yorkshireman, all the Treths and Pens etc lol!

In Cornish - Dintagell.

Yes, both when it was part of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and again after they declared independence.

If I was making a DVD for commercial (i.e. making myself a profit) release, I would at least have asked the locals how to pronounce their towns/villages names first before burning it to DVD or releasing online.

How do you pronounce these - Burntisland & Milngavie? Give you a clue, it is not Burn-tis-land & Mil-n-gavie as pronounced by English news presenters!

Hi

Your Edrig is looking fantastic, congratulations! I've just got one myself and am hoping to carry out some similar enhancements. Can I ask where you got the regulator handle and spectacle glass? I would like to start with these too. Also what's your experience of the locolines transfer? I'm considering getting the cab transfer and some lining transfers too...

Many thanks!

James

Welcome to the forum James, hope you enjoy your time here, thank you very much for your kind comments.

ptlrcecil is the best person to talk about spectacle glasses and a regualtor handle he'll put you in touch with the supplier, PM (Private Message) him from his profile here www.gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/profile ... ofile&u=11 .

The Locolines transfer aint for me, it's peeling at the corners which looks a bit rubbish, I will redo it at some point with paint. Then again it may just be that my dad isn't the best at applying transfers (he's better than me).

Do you have a copy of Tag Gorton's Live Steam Workshop this is pretty much the Edrig modification bible, experienced or not I think you may find it interesting.

Thank you for the welcome! I have sent ptlrcecil a PM as suggested and I actually ordered Tag Gorton's book yesterday - can't wait to get it.

I'll just say that I think he's been rather busy recently, and dosn't come on here often. I'll be seeing him a week on sunday though so if you havn't got a reply by then I'll chase him up on it. Just another thing though, I don't think they do regulator handles any more but I think he will tell you where to get one from.
Welcome to the forum :)

That's looking fantastic too! I love that there are so many things you can do to these little locos! Painting the cab black on both these locos looks great.
One quick question - Lady Adele's whistle doesn't look like the DJB whistle where did you find that?!
Many thanks for the photo anyway, there are loads of ideas there!

HI,

the whistle is (dare I say it lol)

an old style Mamod Whistle.

Its very high pitched and not entirely reliable but the steam plume is nice lol. ;)
