Nope, but I'm working on an IMP Gladstone at the moment and found the instructions something of a challenge! I had to read them about three times to understand each bit, and then every time I put it down for more than a day or two I found I had to start the process of comprehending the things all over again because I'd forgotton it all... The best method seemed to be to identify all the bits from the parts list and then it all began to get a bit more logical...

Good luck with it - I like your other bug boxes. I'm planning another couple myself soon (well, in the next year or two), a "porthole" version and one of the thirds with matchboarding.

Do you mean this type of kit? I built these a few years ago.

I gave up trying to bend the plywood supplied for the roof and scored planks so it would bend. Then covered the roof with an old handkerchief.

I've not come to the roof yet and yes I have tried to flex it, be even better if it fitted with some overlap. I am going to use it has a floor for another and cut a new roof with some thinner ply to get by.

I have largely given up on bent ply roofs after discovering the ease and realism of planked roofs thanks to Neil Ramsay's articles. No more wavy edges and a much more pleasing overhead view.

Its a known factor in model making to reproduce a model has near to real practice has possible and yes roofs were planked and with correct ribbing and cross members a roof can be made. Scoring planking in 1mm ply represents planks and enables easy attachments to the body. With care both sides can be represented. Application with newspaper with pva and varied colours of grey gives a realistic finish and a few tears exposing the planked roof adds that worn look.

Nearly done some painting achieved, a hand painted crest and First on waist door panel both with a brush!. Some tidying with goin over the lining again and can get it glazed and roofed

Sprung upholstery I went nite school and they showed me how to reupholster my sofa. You need tiny springs mounted to a frame then wadding and material over the top of that. Shape the wadding to suit the style and brass pins to put together. You can leave a spring showing through torn material for effect
