Brake Man's Shelter

Post by WVLR » Tue Sep 10, 2013 5:08 pm

It's difficult running my quarry or skip train at my local line as every time I do someone pipes up and says
"Where's the Brake Van", well here it is, the result of an afternoons work with the laser cutter, a bit of 3mm ply,
a Binnie chassis and a piece of tomato can that's been rusting gently in the garden for the last 6 months.

More of a brake man's shelter really than a brake van, but it should do the job.

Actually I had the same thought when I assembled it, so I decided not to put a door on it or a hole in the seat, anyway I was expecting Brian to make that comment. :D

You can't beat using real world materials and real rust ;)

Good job!
