DMU set (was IP motor bogie - any experiences?)

I have tried to get some drive chain as well, but the supply seems to of dried up even on over sea web sites, I don't know if DuPont who I think make the material for the Delrin chain or mite even make the chain seem to of stopped making it, or have trouble supplying it ? Even If you go on American site's some say the chain is no longer available.

anybody reading this know where I can get the pully/ drive  chain from can they let me know as it seem there is no stock from the links

It is out of stock everywhere I think, as the tooling is said to be being repaired/reconditioned. Supposedly due back on the market in the next month or two........

Tamiya make a chain drive kit (cat. no. 70124 I think) as part of their range of gearboxes. It might be suitable for use in a railcar, but I haven't tried it.

Might have a look at the MFA Timing belts, that might do the same as the chain . Anybody tried them out there

Not yet - this year has been a year of railway building, rather than stock building, and it's sat safely in the garage waiting for me to strip it down and paint the bodyshells. It did get a run earlier in the year at Pendo Pilot's line, and acquitted itself well - has been running much better since I stripped the power bogies down and painted them.

That rather reminds me of a remark I overheard on Douglas railway station many years ago.  "We have had few complaints about the ride since we painted it."  At that time the actual problem was the general state of the track, which had not had any serious attention since the early 1950s when systematic relaying stopped.  That said, the diamond framed bogies on the older 'Fs' do give a - erm - lively ride, and some of the oldest vehicles have swapped bogies with some of the runners and now have more modern plateframe bogies. The bogie carriage that I have that has an incurable wobble (yes, it is properly compensated) rather reminds me of the F15 of the late 1970s!
