Who's got a garrett? Can I get photos please?

I'm tempted to use 2 mamods kit bashed to make a 040-040 garrett with internal gas fired boiler.

Not a Garratt but here is how to build a Mamod Double Fairlie - http://modelsteam.myfreeforum.org/ftopi ... -asc-0.php

The SL1K that went into that build was one I got off eBay incomplete, fixed it up and sold it on to 'Titan'.

The best thing about Garratt's (apart from the fact they are THE kings of Railway's) is that they came in all sorts of shapes and sizes. :)
Probably the best looking oscy cylinder Garratt is the model made by Salem (built when Dinosaurs walked the Earth)! Even though the engineering was questionable at best, the beautiful proportions have convinced my dad to "remake" his Salem with Roundhouse bit's.
I'd look up the Salem if you want ideas! Or possibly the Myumbe Garratt's? :)
All the best.

...but they aren't the Queens on the Narrow Gauge World ;)

Most definitely! :)
The fact that they managed to beat Garratt 138 just shows they are the Queens! :D
I hope they are converted to coal soon as they (and Mountaineer) have always been my favorites (I would happily wave goodbye to the Fairlies)!

Beating 138 isn't hard, it's as gutless as anything  87 however...

Regarding coal firing, Linda isn't too far off from what I've seen!

Anyhow, back on topic, I don't myself have any pictures of 16mm garrets at all, I do have plenty of full size ones though!

Here is a great illustrated book from the Darg. Society.
Covers the Indian 0-4-0 0-4-0, (was this #2 ex works?)
Way too much detail, but maybe you can justify the purchase if you are a Garratt fan.
