According to Jason K at The Train Department here in the states, non were produced. Dont think anybody wanted to pony up that much money for a vert boilered coal burner. If they could have gotten the price just below $2000, I think it would have gotten more interest. Regner seems to be little known outside Germany/Europe/UK. Thier lack of English lauguage on thier website doesnt help. Shame as thier quality IMHO is right up there with RH. Mike

From what I have been told, Manfred had some health issues this past year that really put a dent in what he could do. Regner then discontunied the Shay and the Willamette. I am told Regner will have a new logging engine for the Easy Line at the toy show in Feburary. And yes thier reachablity and lack of responce doesnt help them at all. But from reports, they have thier hands full just building enough models for the demand from Europe, let alone the USA or UK. I personaly think if they would hire a few more folks and expand, they could grow to be Germany's version of Roundhouse in short order. They have the good baseline quality, with heavily built engines with features lacking in the RH line and at a price point in the USA that even RH has issues meeting. Thier upgrade options are unlike most other builders. I dont see RH offering whistle kits or even building thier boilers with an extra bung to support this. Or even proper water glasses on thier entry level models, yet Regner does. A fine piece of red wire helps them tremendously by keeping them from air locking. I wonder if thier success has a bit overwhelmed them? Espicaly if the head guy is having some health issues. If they atleast had someone build in an english section into thier website. But I think they are happy and content to stay right where they are. Mike
