Post by BillyBob128 » Fri Jun 08, 2012 9:37 pm

Hi Guys,
I am currently designing a batch of Gauge 1 class 52 locomotives.
Would any of you be interested in buying one of these at a later date?
Also please may you vote on the poll about the most popular diesel locomotive
Please message me for prices
Regards,
Tom

No option for a class 37?

Not interested in gauge 1 personally, but class 37's are normally popular!

Tom,

I run a couple of Gauge 1 forums which may well be very interested.

http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/G1MRA/
is for G1MRA members only,

http://g1mra.myfastforum.org/index.html
is mainly for G1MRA members, but suppliers who aren't members can be featured in its Public Pages by contacting me.

[Maybe you belong to G1MRA already - there's not enough on your profile here for me to be able to tell.
If you are going into this business and aren't yet a member, then the modest G1MRA subscription would be well worth your while in terms of contacts, private events, get-togethers and technical advice.

Regardless of all that, you MUST be at Gauge 1 North next month. It's the only public exclusively Gauge 1 exhibition anywhere (as far as we know).
It could be a bit late to book a table, but be there, get a feel for the enthusiasts, the pricing, the rival scales and standards involved, the competition, the buzz in the room and all that stuff. Or maybe you know all this already ? :-)

Look out for me and introduce yourself.

Class 52? Good luck in getting all those compound curves right. Theres no end of models of them in all scales, but not many get that look correct.

Yes it is a batch of British Railway class 52 diesel hydraulics.
They are being build using the origional works drawings that have been scaled down to 10mm to the foot and 9.5mm to the foot so I hope that our product will capture the bodywork of the origionals.
To my knowledge there is only one other manufacturer of class 52s in Gauge 1 but they are kits.
Regards,
Tom

I'm impressed by this Gauge 1 diesel...

I note from the web site that it says "Unpainted but with Brass Etched Nameplates" about the Class 52 model. Brass nameplates?

I echo J2S's comments about the compound curves and look forward to seeing the results. Dapol are making them in 2mm and 4mm scales and the discussion about their design has been fascinating: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index. ... rn-update/
