Edrig Banjo Bolts

Hello there,

I'm looking into getting a Regner wistle kit for my edrig and using it off the banjo, can anyone tell me what the thread is for the Edrig's Banjo? Going to make a new Bolt and colar for it and maybe get a servo!

I think the correct size is 5MM by .500 thread. I got my banjo bolts for my Edrig from David Bailey Engineering in the UK. I did the same thing you are planning to do. I used the Regner kit and made the new fittings to mount the whistle. I placed the lever for the whistle on the left of the throttle lever. ( On my engine , new lever ) The whistle is then placed between the tank and the boiler on the left side of the locomotive. The whistle blast is aimed down between the frames. This makes a very nice conversion , and it works very well at all pressures from 20 to 60 lbs . I have also fitted the same kit to my Accucraft " Earl " using the same parts and it works just as well.
