The only way to remove these wheel sets properly is to remove the chassis frames from the loco.Anyone got any ideas as to how to unscrew the nut on the rotating bushes?
Unless they have changed the design, you should have a hex shaped head to the outside part of the bush like this one.

It is possible to partly remove the chassis, by unscrewing the rear drag beam, screws under cab floor holding onto chassis frames, and chassis spacer. You can then squeeze the rear part of the chassis frames together to remove the rear axle, and a bit more pressure further forward should get the front axle out one wheel at a time. However this can end up putting a bend in the chassis frames just behind the cylinder back plates, and as these wheel sets are intolerant of misalignment I would not recommend this procedure. Rather go with fully removing the frames, gives you a chance to look at the front reverser valve at the same time.

A long time since I've reported on this.
The Jane is now back together, and will soon be on it's way to Rhos Helyg Loco Works for a repaint into Improved Engine Green with white lining and black edging.
A name change is also in the offing, from Ivor to Barbara after my late Grandmother who passed away on Friday.
