Hello All

The National Steam Tram Museum, (N.S.T.M) is proud to announce that it has completed the restoration of it's ex Amsterdam Tramweg Maatschappij steam tram built by Henschel.

It joins the ranks of our other steam trams.

Ooh, very nice! Did that begin life as a Roundhouse "Stanley"?

Well some of it did.

Built from parts from my bits box. The body was from a Roundhouse Stanly, but modified to incorporate glazing and vertical glazing bars. The skirt was removed to expose the motion.

The original Stanley power unit would have been from a Billy. This power unit is however pure Accucraft. I suppose that this makes the model a,"Roundcraft?"

I moved the safety valve on the boiler to line up with the roof and the chassis was shortened by about 5mm. The burner is my copy of a Roundhouse FX and I opened up the fire tube and fixed the burner to the boiler by bushes as per Roundhouse.

Single channel RC and DJB draincocks finish it off.

The image of my ex SAR, now WHR bicycle wagon was posted in error and has nowt' to do with steam trams.

Amsterdam joins the fleet which consists of:
G.V.T steam tram
Belgian Vicinal steam tram
Ex Burnley Corporation Falcon steam tram
Beyer Peacock steam tram
"Kattowitz'" ex Silesian steam tram

That's lovely- I've always liked the "Stanley" anyway, and the modifications & detailing have made it even better. Very nice indeed Sir.

Would be good to see the rest of the tram fleet at some point ;)
