Atlantic publishing

Has anyone ordered from the Garden rail magazine before.
I order a book from Atlantic on the 24thMAY but nothing has arrived yet. I know they say allow 28 days which has now passed anyway but these days you expect things to be quicker than that.
Not heard anything to say there is a delay. I've just mailed them but not very impressed so far. :(

Blimey! I may have read this completely the wrong way, but you seem to be very impatient. There is no 'expect' about it, just a generation of people who have lost their waiting gene.

Wait until you have to deal with much smaller traders internationally........

I'm not an impatient person, infact I'd forgotten about till my credit card statement arrived. However when a company takes your money over three weeks ago I kind of feel I should have had the goods by now!
If I sell something I post the item ASAP providing the kind of service I'd like to receive.
Have just rang them and a very nice lady said it should have been sent out on the 3rd June, so it would appear they are not at fault and something else has gone astray in our wonderful postal service, not for the first time.
Hopefully the book is one the way :D

Had an email tonight to say that it wasn't sent on the 3rd of June afterall, but ordered then and allow 28 days from that date rather than my order date of 23rd May. I'll wait some more and see what happens :? It better be a good read when it does arrive

Three weeks isn't 28 days, and you didn't mention in your post that they'd taken money.....

As I said, wait until you're dealing with small traders internationally, I'm waiting on a package from NSW!

It gets even better
I emailed Atlantic yesterday (8th July) to say that it still hadn't arrived. I was told they would look into it, which in all fairness they did and the reply was:

Hello David Thank you for your email, I am sorry to advise you that this book is out of stock and we are not receiving any more issues in. Please may I have your telephone number so that I can call you to take your card details for a refund. Kind Regards, Felicity

You thought they might have checked in the first place before taking a customers money!!! :?
I'm not very impressed and can't say I'll order anything else from them. I'll have to keep an eye out for a copy of the Live steam workshop as I'd still like one.

After numerous emails and phones calls I have been rufunded today. That's taken over 2 and a half months for them to sort out, I think that's stretching anyones parience, what a complete shower. No real appology for thier useless service and If I hadn't chased them I still wouldn't have my money back. I won't recommend or be buying anything from them again.

There is a happy ending to this tale of woe. I managed to pick up a copy of Live steam workshop from Garden railways centres in Cheltenham. There was one more copy left yesterday.

I wouldn't mind giving that book a read. I've heard it's pretty good.

At least you got some "kind regards". I wouldn't mind some of those either.
